In THE GUTTER, when frequently fired Walt (Shameik Moore) gets a job as a bartender and shoe shiner at the local AlleyCatz bowling alley, he feels like he’s finally found a home. When money problems threaten the AlleyCatz, Walt is pressured by former professional bowler and current drinking champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to accept his role as the greatest bowler to ever walk this earth. While Walt’s love of big checks and unsavory playing style dominates the professional tour, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), try to anger to extinguish Walt’s flame before. it burns too much.
